Maple Cinnamon Granola

Granola is one of those foods that everyone loves. I am not the biggest fan of traditional oatmeal, but this is one way that I could eat oats ALL day long! Whether I am eating it for breakfast or for a snack, granola is always a great choice! This recipe is filled with micro-nutrients in the oats, chia seeds, flax seeds, and hemp seeds so you really can't go wrong with it! This granola is very easy to make and will have your house smelling wonderful!

Ingredients:

-3 cups rolled oats

-1/2 cup seed mix (chia, flax, and hemp seeds)

-1/2 cup salted almonds

-4 tbsp olive oil

-3 tbsp maple syrup

-1/4 cup brown sugar

-1/2 tsp cinnamon

-1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

1. In a large bowl mix together the oats, seed mix, and almonds.

2. In a separate bowl, mix together the rest of the ingredients. (This is to ensure even mixing of all of the flavors!)

3. Add this into the bowl with the oats and mix all together making sure to coat all of the oats.

4. Place a piece of parchment paper on a large baking sheet and spread the granola mixture evenly.

5. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes making sure to stir the mixture every 10 or so minutes. This will prevent the oats from burning on the bottom.

6. Once the oats look a dark golden brown, then your granola is done!

7. Enjoy! My favorite way to eat this is mixed in vegan yogurt, topped on oatmeal, added into smoothies for a nice crunch, or as a cereal!

Be sure to let me know if you try this recipe! It's one of my favorites!
